Bubble Series

A series of work created for the Green and Gold exhibit at Sparrow Art Supply in Middlebury, VT. I started simply by exploring a green and gold color palette when I remembered this lovely moment from a block party during the first summer of covid. The theme was bubbles. A nod to the new meaning of what a bubble meant during covid; a close knit chosen crew that we deemed safe but also a bubble as all that is youthful, whimsical, and light. The idea of "nothing gold can stay" resonated with me while reflecting on the fleeting nature of youth in conjunction with bubbles of all sorts.
